i have seen some swingarms where they left the coating on the inside of the arm and just polished the outside to save some work .

my buddy has a stunter dude that polishes wheels and swingarms and he said that he starts with 40 grit and works up to 2000.just hearsay so take it fwiw.

your work on the wheel polishing speaks for itself so keep on keeping on.

Thanks leon I am gonna experiment around with it I am cutting it close. reserved the garage and my brothers undevided attention for next week. hope I can get everything ready once we get started it will be a whirl wind.

Gonna mount the swingarm wheel and brakes. measure my offst and chain length then tear the bike complletely down. it always makes me nervous to totally disassemble bikes they have a unique way of ending up in a few tubs and shoved to the corner of the garage.

Gonna try and get as much done as possible going into this mess. umm I mean build

got a 3 day weekend and worked on the swingarm today. going to have to move my conversion to new years week. got a few financial set backs The washing machine pump is my tire money and the van I just bought needs a heater core. but there is a ton of stuff I can do.

Ram, great work on the polishing! I love the look, but always hated the maintenance of polished aluminum

and yeah porsche thanks I am kind of the same way but cant afford to have it chromed at this point and i'm a sucker for bling hope to find a reasonable chromer

quick update: my layoff will be official in the next 2 weeks so progress will slow down my laundry list of going nuts on her in the coming months will be limited to a new tank paint job the monshock and wheel assembly.

I finally got a decent camera (really wanted a back tire)so at least the few photos i will post will be better I hope lol

Just a quick update The sun is shining and I am going to get the bike today and start the teardown, at least for my swingarm mod.

I will get an hour or 2 of riding in (I hope) before it comes apart. I am afraid I am gonna have to sell my stock leftovers. I am mor comfortable putting that stuff in the spare bedroom neatly boxed up for future use.

I have a new camera so i hope the new pics will alot better representation of this build
