yeah yeah my thinking too...i mean ..hell...guys put car front ends on around here..lol...just threw me a bit when i am trying to shake out what in got and stuff aint linning up...makes me wonder if i got grafted front end or mix and match bike...thanks for the input....i can even get my welder to tack a plug plate and re tap holes on the fender ears....Patton wrote:

travel update:im leaving omaha next thursday morning at 8:30,supposed to be in san jose at 12:30 like that will happen! :laugh: not going back till the 7th now,god i love being my own boss sometimes! B)

folks kicked in on some stuff already....i'm waiting to hear on the stator coil-starter motor...and am looking for an old chain to roll it around and get it running then i'll throw some money at a new one....if you have an old 630x98 chain or the stator-starter....p.m and see what you need for em...thanks for looking ..ass deep in work now and wont touch the j project till july 15 th ...bought a starter cover and bolts and was given a harness.......TexasKZ wrote:

just bumping this up a tad so can find it....summer will be here and this'n and other projects will get dusting off...


all i lack on the j1000 is a starter motor for a jmodel...i have stuff to trade or will pay cash..i need the two bolts and the wire too.....peace craig


this si how it sits now...those showa shocks are up for grabs ,as i now have a great set of s&w's to oinstall,those were just to roll it around...
