Looking good man. As for the heel guard. it looks good. but if it had holes instead of slots, it would go nicely with the holes in the sprocket cover.B)

Yeah Mark I agree. Maybe I'll see if I can put some holes in between the slots I thought about making some heel guards but I dont think they would look as good.

would it be possible to put a cover piece over top and then drill, without it looking odd?

Maybe. That is something to consider. I will probably just leave it the way it is. I have so much to do right now that some of the details are gonna have to wait.I may not even do the body work right now just shoot the stuff with a rattle can and leave it for the summer. Shake it out and ride it maybe sell the gs and use some of the change to send the tins off for a pro to deal with over the winter. We'll see right now just trying to tie up some loose ends. I still have no engine. I was putting the one I have together and I had a plug get stuck anyhow long story short I i dont fell confident that I can get the engine clean enough to feel good about it. I also think the mod I had to do to the cases will cause problems in the long run vibes and all. So I am looking for a set of cases that will fit that I can get blasted and powdered. do it once and its done. I have so much other stuff to do that I'm not even worried about it right now.I'll just keep on keepin on

Thats too bad about your engine man. It looked really nice, and it looked like you put a lot of work into it.

Yeah i did spend some time on it. I should have stopped when I found it did not fit the frame. Live and learn. I will hopefully get some new ones soon and I can carry on with my build. I am working on the subframe and seat now I ordered some small parts to hold me over for a while.

Well I still dont have engine cases. I have purchased a speedo I tried a 5 3/4 headlight, painted my tank and rear fender. I have it all mocked up right now heres some pics. The muffler is my neighbors that i built a baffle repacked and polished for him.

Looks great, it's cool to see how people go different routes to accomplish the same objective. I wouldn't have thought to cut the subframe off and use something else, nice idea.

what rear set did you use?? I hope you plan on getting those headers jet coated, the rust takes away from the entire bike.

Yeah i will at least paint the header. I have a plan to make a 4-2 header. then run some shorty reverse megaphones kinda gp style. I will probably make a baffle for this header and run it for the time being. I will try to get an ass shot some time. I want to paint the seat this weekend if I can find the time. I just got off work so I dont much feel like working on it today. Schmol thanks for dending me those pics of your front fender. I could not use use my gpz fender as it was in bad shape. I would like to know how much clearance you have between the tire and fender.

I have about a half inch of spacing between the tire and the fender, so no worries of it rubbing. I'm thinking about re-cutting the front fender to bring it make it hug the tire more...that will happen this coming winter.

Yeah that is about how much i was gonna give the tire. I wish I could make it tighter but that would prob be unsafe.

Well I got a 7 inch headlight as the 5 3/4 did not work. I also got my brake lines. I painted the seat too. not quite what i was gonna do. but I couldn't pull off what I wanted to. Heres your ass shot mark.
