like her subdued coolness. makes my stock kz750 look like a girlie's bike in comparison....

what happened to the front fender? i belong to the small minority who think that front fenders actually are cool, balance a bike's look and say that you are not a fair weather rider :)

while at it, would do it in the same blue color, should be a nice accent

Add me to that minority! A bike not only looks more balanced with a front fender; it also is a heck of a lot more fun to ride when there's any water at all on the road. I learned that the hard way on my BSA (I also got ticketed for no front fender). Ed

Oh I put it on shortly after that pic. That day I was impatient and I had just put the brakes back on. I may consider painting it the same blue. Not sure how I feel about it.

Subdued coolness, thats the best term I've heard yet. Exactly what I was going for. Just something stout and purposeful. Something the average person doesn't notice, but the guys who know, know.

T_Dub,

Ow’s she gettin’ on b’y. So… one of my wife's cousins in Vancouver, British Columbia passed away a couple of years ago after a long bout with cancer and left a couple of oldish Harley’s behind in his estate. To make a long story short, the family really wanted to keep then in the family if at all possible but everyone of age seemed to have one already so… the wife’s uncles, aunts and cousins ganged up on us to take over one of them that happened to be close by in Montreal. After suffering the red tape of transferring the ownership from the estate in BC to a cousin, the executor, in Toronto, Ontario, to me in Montreal, Quebec (not before an expensive Quebec safety check) we finally took possession of it… oh me nerves. Wendy and I now have a bone-stock, very low millage, shiny black ‘93 Sportster XLH 1200 on the bridge and we’re Havin' a time with er.

However, whenever I see a real nice example of a UJM, especially a KZ, I certainly notice, admire and acknowledge them… much to the SURPRISE of the owners. IMHO, HD guys are not known for the breadth of knowledge on these matters (and a few others). But there are a few of us. Who knows, there may even be one on the rock.
So again, outstanding work b’y,
Best of success,
Bill

PS
Many, many, many thanks to all the members on this site who educated me about things other than the different types of chrome. It is often embarrassing to talk to HD riders… Yes b’y, really embarrassing... I just dies at em! But on the other hand, they are riders after all and at least they are not trying to run be off the road unintentionally or otherwise.
Apologies to those not fluent in Newfinese.

Haha best kind b'y Bill. Tho she's blowin a gale tonight and enuff to freeze da nuts off ya so I didn't get out for a rip on da machine. But den mar marn da sun'll be spliitin da rocks so I'll get out for a run up da shore. Proper ting eh b'y?

Yes its always nice to have someone in the know recognize the bike, and its also cool having a bit of a secret from the masses of riders who know very little.

Guzzi, you'll just have to wait a see like everyone else! One bike will have three cylinders and the other is going to have a bit of help getting air into the cylinders. Thats all I'll say for now, project threads to come maybe in the winter.
