Its a HVLP gravity feed. But its also my first time using it. I have it set on max roundness as I'm painting tubes. How do I adjust it to tighten the spray circle?

the front spray nozzle is held on by a ring. if u turn the rind a spring will force the nozzle in or out. as it goes out it will narrow the spray pattern. if u turn the nozzle itself, it will change the patterns shape. it can be round, horizontally oval, or vertically oval. the knob at the opposite end of the gun, will control the amount of paint that comes out, by changing the triggers pull travel.
Hope this helps.
i have a roll of plastic vapor barrier, hanging on the wall in my spray booth. i pull it down the wall, and test spray onto it.
i use my system for water based wood working Varithanes.
I tried to clean my gun with thinner after spraying a top coat of 2 pt Urethane, and it turned the urethane to gooo. so i used Acetone.
the frame is about the hardest thing u could paint. u will need good lighting, ability to move the frame around, and patience. adjust the gun as u have with a round pattern, and turn down the paint volume so u dont get runs. just spray lightly and give it a chance to set while u move to another spot, then go back and hit it again. just dont try to pile it on, and u will be ok.

There is really no adjustment for the size of the spray pattern, only the shape. As you have discovered, the top knob adjuster on the back of the gun adjusts the spray pattern from fan to spot. The bottom knob adjuster limits the trigger travel. Like you've discovered, use the spot pattern for the tight, hard to reach spaces. If you can't get the gun very close, turn up the pressure and limit you trigger travel to avoid laying down too much material. With an HVLP gun you need to be closer to the item you're painting than with a standard spray gun, around 8" or so. Incidently, what size tip is in your gun?

I have had the same experience with my HF China gun. Man was that a pain to clean all the goo out of (I still wonder if it's all out sometimes). Acetone has worked great since. I have some small pieces of plywood (2'x2' or so) that I spray the acetone against and can tell when it starts coming out clear. The acetone doesn't run on the plywood so it works pretty well.

No clue, it was a cheap jobby from Princess Auto (our version of HF). But since I don't paint often, it works great for me.

P.S. Can anybody tell me which oil cooler hookup on a GPz750 oil pan feeds the oil to the cooler? I need to know in order to get my thermostat hooked up correctly down the road.

More pics! Bottom end together! The little orange here and there is due to the ultra copper I used. What a fight I had to get the cases together, I had to use a different strategy since I didn't have the means to get the clutch hub off. But it's done now!

It's looking like Sunday will be rolling chassis day. I'm gonna put the bottom end in the frame and then make her a roller. Then the fun starts!
