I was watching one of them cable TV hotrod shows last week, and they showed some new paint kit that you can do a base coat clear coat scheme. What was interesting about it was the clear coat. It was in a spray can that has the hardener in a separate chamber inside the can, which gets activated by the user when he's ready.
I didn't catch the name of it though.

According to a Lubri-Tech paint chart I found at KZ650.info, to get "Candy Emerald Green" you need a first coat of Light Gray Metallic, followed by a coat of Emerald Green Candy, and finished off with clear coat. Elsewhere (probably on the same site) I read that the only way to get the paint matched, would be to sand through each layer, and match them. Maybe I will do so, but probably not. It would be nice to have a fresh paintjob in the original colors, but this will be a daily rider, so it just has to look good. I'll slap on a nice color that gets in the neighbourhood. I would have thought someone would have seen a gap in the market to sell these mixes...

if you go to paint works site, they have some paint aval that they sell, may have the color you are looking for, and they seem to want to help if you want to do it yourself.
you can get a two part base coat clear coat to look very close, even have the right amount of metalic in the paint.

Thanks BSKZ650! Unfortunately, Paintworkz doesn't / cannot ship outside of the US (issues with flammable liquid). I'll try Löblein in Germany.
