Too many cafe racer types out there, most of us are not into that crowd and complain that what we see for sale out there is mostly hacked up cafe types listed for more than a stocker is for.
I just sold my 78 kz1000, got my full asking price, lets say $2k, while a friend is selling a super nice 78kz1000 cafe for the same price, guess what mine sold in 2 weeks, his is still for sale six months later at half ofwhat he originaly listed it at (4k original 2k now)

You may see cafe racers listed at obscene prices, rest asured those are full nut/bolt customs where people are making pennies for their hourly rate OR just smoke and mirrors.
my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

One more thing to look out for when you go to a different set of bars. When using clubman and drag bars, they will allow the switchgear on the bars to hit your gas tank prior to going to full lock, be aware of that. This will happen even when using superbike bars which are not near as low as the clubmans or drag bars.
