My 77' KZ1000A has 2 flasher relays. I like to change out my "stock" turn signals to smaller LED's ones. Will I have to purchase 2 Electronic flasher units to replace the stock ones ? I'm assuming 2 flashers are needed for the signals to work.

One is a hazard switch the other is your blinker.

For the hazards to work you'll probably need to replace that one as well.

Martin, I don't have the flashers hooked up at all with my 3-wire turn signals in front. And looking at the wiring diagram which seems to go thru both hazard relay and signal relay, I'm wondering if I can get by with only 1 electronic relay to work with these LED turn signals I'm going to install ?

I just switched to LEDs. I needed to switch the turn signal flasher to electronic one. The hazard flasher worked fine. I guess since there are twice as many lights it pulls enough load to work.

Didn't have to use another flasher unit than the stock ones that are on the bike. These are the turn signals that I used except amber lenses in front. They are a 3-wire signal, used only the Red lead for power and the Black lead for ground. On thing I did notice is that the Left front signal isn't as bright as the right when flashing ? Any ideas ?

I have no clue what you need to do but I do know that the hazard flasher and the turn signal flasher or different parts. On my 750 I got them switch between them and the signals didn't work correctly until switching the flashers around..

Nessiam, The signals work fine. All I did was replace the original signals with these new signals and used the same connections in the wiring harness. I didn't run the extra 3rd wire ( black/white ) of the new signals to the flasher light connectors of the harness inside the headlight bucket. Just notice that the left front signal didn't seem as bright as the other side ? So I'm assuming that maybe the ground which is the 2-wire connector is "weak" but if that was the case, sharing the same ground connector as the right side, wouldn't that side be dimmer as well ?
