My 1976 KZ 900 starter button is broken inside the control mechanism.

The tiny fiber board where the wires are soldered inside the control snapped in half. Is that part replaceable and where might I find one?

I realize the entire control can be replaced for $45., but I would repair the OEM one if I could get the part. Anyone know where to find this part can be obtained?

I have the button and spring, but the solder point needs to be replaced. Also, there are two wires connected to the button and I'm not exactly sure where the 2 wires would connect.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Yes, a pic might be helpful. Some electric supply places have small circuit boards that you might be able to cut down & drill. I got one for building an igniter that seems to be a very stout plastic. Or a broken appliance might have a circuit board you could scavenge.

You can find the starter button assembly on numerous other kz models of that age.

Alternatively I bought a push button switch, drilling the housing out a touch.
