Hey guys. I've almost completed the resto of my 1978 KZ650B, and I 've ran into a problem.
When I turn the key to the on position, all four turn signals, at the same time, start flashing rapidly. When I flip the turn signal switch to the left or right, all four turn signals continue to flash at the same time, but at a slower pace.
I've installed taller handlebars, which required me to extend the wires going to the handlebar switches. I'm confident that I got all the wires connected properly, with solid connections, where I had to extend them. So I hope to leave that part of the wiring as a last resort to tear into, as I've got them all shrink wrapped, taped up, and tucked away nicely.
I did clean out the inside of the switches, as the bike had set for over 30 years.
Could a bad flasher cause this ?? Or maybe a bad ground ?? Bad switch ??
Whats your thoughts on this..........
I have to ad a picture of the bike as it looks now. I'm proud of the way it's starting to come together. I'm going to shave down the seat foam, and make an attempt at making my own seat cover for it this winter.
