Hi guys. Newby here.
I fried my cdi box and it is sh347 type transistor ignitor but with 6 wires. Trying to find a spare one over ebay but all I can find is cdi box with 5 wires. I'm attaching an image.
Does anyone know what is that 6th wire for and will the cdi box with 5 wires work on my motorcycle.
Thank you in advance.

That single wire looks to be just a ground wire. Just ground it.

I can't find a diagram using the brown/white wire on a 440. What year?

It is most likely an interlock safety wire. Usually it needs to be grounded to enable the igniter. So like NebrRex said, it probably needs to be grounded. The igniter connection, that is, needs to be grounded. Don't ground the harness side of the brn/wht wire.

If you can only find the 5-wire version, you can probably use it, and just ignore the brn/wht wire on the harness, and leave it unconnected.
