Is there anyone out there with an 81 440 ltd that can take a picture of the wiring from their battery to the alternator and fuse box for me? Also by the ignition coil? Be been scouring the Internet for anything that shows the basic wiring needed for operation. Any high res pictures if possible of any stopping points in the harness would be one step closer to me having the right set up and would be greatly appreciated!

(yes I've been staring at the wiring diagram but it's not really helping me in a 3 dimensional space I've never wired or have seen wired before.)

Here is a basic diagram. Might help. I am not using a fuse box on mine.

Here's a topic with a bunch of wiring diagrams provided by kzrider loudhvx.
There's a 440 diagram on the page linked & there may be other diagrams.

From one of your other topics, if the wiring is a mess & stuff has been cut off, it might be worthwhile to get a replacement wire harness off of eebbaayy.

The diagrams on that bobberforum site aren't anything I would run, the last thing you want is for your wiring harness to be its own fuse. If you aren't running a fuse box at least put in a fusible link.
