Check & clean the connections on your coil going to the 2-3 cylinders, & see if that clears things up, if the coils are old, it could be a bad coil

Can the coils be swapped? Then I can see if the cylinders follow...

Yes, if the spark plug wires are long enough. Swapping them means not just the spark plug wires but also the wires from the ignition module that fires the coils. Ed

So I went ahead cleaned connections and swapped coils from one side to the other rode it abt 20 min pretty hard and it wouldn't act up like it did before... few misses here and there but that's abt it., I did notice some connections that had almost like a clear rubber protector around it with connectors I that, idk why those are on there really... tm I'm going to bring my meter home and ohm out the coils and see what voltage is at battery compared to the coils. I just don't want to keep dumping money into it

Sounds like a good reason to check all the connections from the battery through the ignition system, Also look up the install spec on the electronic ignition and makes sure it is in the right position (some install in the full advance position). Heat is getting to something if the problem doesn't show up right after starting. Check coils, wires, plug caps for cracks.

With 2-3 going cold it's a week coil, but you switched it and found better running. Check your compression, there might be a valve seal leak of something else happening there. have you checked your valve/shim clearances?

Update. Runs exactly same with coils swapped. 2 and 3 goes out. Plugs r wet. Idk if it's ign or fuel related.

That's what the plugs looked like. I have 12.5 at battery and 11.4 at coils tho.

I have not checked valve clearance. I don't have a new valve cover gasket so I didn't attempt pulling it off

11.4 vdc at the coil is quite a drop. I doubt if that is the whole explanation, but it does need to be addressed. Every connector between the battery and the sparkplugs need some careful attention. A can of Deoxit and some small brass brushes will clean them right up and will help insure full voltage to the coils.
Valve lash, intake leaks and carb settings will still need checking, but no matter what, the coils need full voltage.

If your very careful tapping on the the valve cover you might get it off and get away without replacing the cover gasket ....... I removed mine quite a few times to paint it and check the lash before I replaced it after the work I had done ...... More than a few others have done this too on here.
