Hi everyone. I am going to be undertaking the project of completely rewiring my bike. Sometime over the years all the POs hacked it up pretty good. I plan on making all solder connections, insulating the connections with heat wrap and putting all wires in looms.

My biggest question is what kind of wite do yall recommend I use? Size, type, etc?

Any links to good sources to buy the wire and connectors from?

Thanks.

If you are considering a full harness replacement, I would try Z1Parts or Z1Enterprises. If you merely want to replace damaged wires and connectors you will need to match the existing wire gauge the best you can. The main harness can range from 18-14 gauge depending on the amount of voltage it needs to carry. A local automotive store would have gas/oil resistant wire casing in the correct gauge. For the connectors, I would try and salvage the main harnesses the best you can and use a weather resistant connector for the single pin connections. Again, local auto store will have these and the ones you apply heat to work the best (but still aren't as good as stock). Hope this helps. Good luck.
