Hey guys I'm now dipping into lighting on this 83 kz440 ltd and I had a vertical lisence plate mount with built in led tail light and lisence plate light given to me with some led flush mount blinkers. I'm not super great at wiring so any help is great.

Kit came with a black box with 3 wires coming out of it.

Thanks guys and yes I've done some searching but I wasn't sure if the wiring was the same for other bikes

what color are the wires?

Do you mean this thing has two separate tail/turn signal lights plus a center license plate light?

If so, that would take three separate power lines plus a ground to operate.

Does the unit ground by the metal frame or does it have a dedicated ground wire?

Got the new bracket mounted and the light hooked up. Works awesome.

I just need to figure out a place to mount the led rear blinkers.

You will also need an LED flasher module if you want the blinkers to work right. I just went to the parts store and told them I needed a 3 prong LED flasher. Plug and play.

SteveW, how easy was it to wire?

Simple. I left all the wires marked so there was no trouble there. The kit came with a small box with 3 wires coming out of it. Is that what your talking about?

Are turn signal/brake LED available to replace our old-style stock bulbs? :)

I had a problem with the LED turn signals. Jon sent me his old blinker. It has two blades coming out of the bottom and one ground coming out of the top. I connected the ground to a bolt next to it and had to test switch the blades to make it work. Two tries and " Egore, It's alive!" My goal was to get my running lights and turn signals to take less power. They do now. Before they were sucking all the juice my charging system could put out. With everything on it was showing 9V and 12V at 4000 RPM. Now it's 12 V at idle and 14 V at 4000. I tried finding one at OR and AZ but the guys just gave me the Fish Eye when I told them what I needed.

Do you have to get a relay for each bulb or just each direction......... 4 corners or just each side
