Sooo, I currently own a 1988 Kawi EX500 in addition to my 1981 KZ750 LTD. In the process of rebuilding the 500 I'd read about people installing the Trail Tech Vapor gauge on them and decided to try it out. It worked great and I loved it on that bike.

I'm going to sell the 500 come spring and I loved the trail tech on it. Wondering if anyone has any experience mounting either the Vapor or the Voyager onto their KZ. I really love the look and features of the Voyager and would like to do that one. Here is a link to it:

I'd like to find a kit that has a CHT sensor and an oil temp sensor if I could. I know which CHT sensor I would need, wondering if there is a place to put an oil temp sensor, like on the pressure mount or something and where on the motor that would be? Thoughts, comments? I'll take any suggestions. Thanks for looking!

You can see mine mounted on the build. I did run is on the bike before the rebuild as I didn't like the leaking tach and bouncing Speedo. Works great. I added the Vapor dashboard this time so I can have blinker neutral and bright indicator. I have also replaced the OEM pressure sensor switch with a oil temp switch from Trail Tech, the spark plug ring for them exceeds the temp range on the gauge. It worked really well before and will work even better with the new upgrades.

Hey that's a pretty sweet build you have going. So you found that the CHT's were just too high for the gauge or what? Also I really like that pressure gauge you have on yours. What is it and how is it mounted? Thanks!

The oil pressure gauge is from Joker Machine, he makes a lot of Honda stuff. The adapter is great but he used a cheap gauge so I replaced the gauge with an oil filled one.

I love the Vapor, I tried to use the water temp sending unit but it won't read anything. I wish they would make a oil temp sending unit.
