Bad idea; I would highly recommend you take the 30 amp fuse out and replace it with the correct fuse. Fuses are sized to protect the wiring. A 30 amp fuse will not protect wiring that is sized for a max of 20 amps. So if by increasing the fuse capacity you exceed the 20 amp threshold on wiring sized for 20 amps you can set the wires on fire. Replacing a burned harness, or worse a burned bike, is much more trouble than unplugging one horn until you can install the proper circuitry. Ed

Jrider wrote: Thanks, TexasKZ. I will try to duplicate that set up. I am not an electrical whiz, but I can follow instructions. Any more detail you can provide will be helpful. Will all the horn wiring be apparent when I lift the tank?

The diagram in the fsm will be invaluable for tracing the circuit. Making sure the stock setup is working as it should is the first order of business, since parts of it are needed for the second horn. If I had a schematic or even a drawing on a napkin, I'd be happy to share it, but alas I do not. 650Ed or loudvx would probably be your best source of details. Ed is actually running such a setup and Lou has forgotten more about electricity than I will ever know.
