Anyone know the ratios of the KZ's? (Mine is a KZ700-A1.) I tried looking at the speedo and tach and also in the service manual with no luck. Best I could find was a google search that turned up a few pages like one that said "Most Kawasaki's and Yamah's: Tach Ratio 1:5" but buying parts from that info is a bit of a long shot.

What parts are you looking for? My drills top speed is 3500 RPM. On the tach, it read 7000 RPM. The speedo read 35/ 40 MPH. If that helps.

I'm looking at different new instruments but I need to know the correct ratio to know which I can use.

3500 and 7000? Sounds like 1:2. Now I'm even more confused. It really must be written somewhere that I'm missing

How about a tach for a kz550m1? It's electrically driven. My question is since it is electronic, will any electronic tach work? Similar to this...
