Hi I have a 1983 CSR 1000 and need some wiring help , it's a project.

I didn't have an ignition so I jumped the wires. Hopefully right???????
Here's the wires I jumped at the ignition connector.
White+ White/Black
Orange+ Orange/White
Brown+ Yellow/Red (from the start button)
Red (not connected)

Also I have a wire from the starter solenoid that I don't know where it goes.
From Starter solenoid>Red/White > black Fuse Box 2ea 10amp>spilt\ to White/Blue>Harness
.............................................................................................................. \ to White/black to ??????

Now I confirmed 12v at connections and nothing, is there some sort of tip over sensor? My harness is hanging.
I checked the fuses they're okay.
I circled on the diagram where these terminate, but I don't know what they are I don't have full manual.

I get nothing by pressing the start button, I also jumped this to make sure it was functioning.

Did you pull in the clutch, or bypass the clutch switch, while hitting the starter button?

Well I tired again today and jumped the clutch and start button and it turned over.
Thanks for the help, but I would still like to know where those other wires go.

I think 81-82 are the only years for the 1000-CSR.
There aren't any diagrams for an 83 model at Partzilla.

Here's a Kawasaki wiring diagram for the 1982 KZ1000-M2 (CSR).
It's bigger if you open the image in a new window, then click on the new image to zoom in.
It's a pretty good diagram.

Thanks got it running compression was a little low, but it been sitting for 22 years. I'm going to soak the cylinders and PB blaster and let it sit for a couple of days, hopefully it will loosen the rings. I will follow with Seafoam to burn off any corrosion on the valves.

Comp test all cylinders 150psi PB WORKS
