I would use the D5 rather than the Gold. The manufacturer states "Recommended for critical applications where only slight cleaning action is necessary." Most of my connectors needed more than just slight cleaning. It probably is good to use on sensitive equipment that has gold plated connectors so the plating is not compromised, but that's not my KZ connectors. Here's the reference:

Reg/Rec test -
with ignition on for test - voltage at battery down to 12.3 - hardwired all dash lights and tail light on.
Original Reg/Rec - 11.8 volts.
Spare Reg/Rec - 11.9 volts.
Have D5'd everything i could get to on fuse box and that was only connectors and fuse holders - all spotless
Tried another Zephyr 750 fuse box and same results.
Might try that test without dash and tail lights on.

This thread reminded me that I really need to buy a can of this stuff. I found it on Amazon Canada for under $20 and is eligible for free shipping but is presently out of stock. I placed an order but haven't gotten a firm delivery date yet. Anybody know where to get it within Canada for a reasonable price?

It's too high at 4000 rpm.
You should measure the voltage on the brown wire at the reg/rec. at 4000 rpm.

That is a good link pete greek1 for the D5. best price i have seen if you live in North America. Would cost me minimum $65 USD to get it here. Ebay was best in my situation.

Amazon Canada is only $20/can and is eligible for free shipping but is presently out of stock with no estimated date. I put in an order with them anyway, I don't need it until next spring so I guess I can wait a while. :P
