Interesting.
I think your instincts were spot on with the suspicion that removing suppression from plugs would be a cure-all.
After a second, longer, ride yesterday; I see my gremlin is still there with me.
Went out for an hour or so and the first half of the ride she showed slight hesitation in acceleration in the mid range. Once i got unto the upper RPM's she finished the pull smooth, Then for the second 1/2 hour I could not reproduce any problems (ran fine).
So I still have some thing to figure out here. Beer, fiends, and sunshine conspired to keep me off the bike today;-)
