Pull out the #3 and #4 spark plugs and keep them plugged into the cap. Lay them on the head and turn on the key. Make sure kill switch is in the run position. Either kick it over or use the electric start and see if you have a fat blue snapping spark from each one. This works better in the dark. This will let you know if each coil is getting juice. If you don't have spark let us know.

Make sure you do everything MFolks said before trying to start it up for real.

Your bike probably needs the "Wired George" coil relay modification done to it. It is in the same catagory as the other aged bikes whose wiring has issues with corrosion and lack of proper coil voltages.

The coil voltage should be almost the same as the battery voltage. If not, then poor conductivity is at least one of the problems. www.wgcarbs.com is his website listing parts and showing a wiring diagram to make the bike run like it should.

Get some 400-600 grit sandpaper, cut some thin pieces to fit between the points, lightly press the points together, pull the strip sanding the contact surface, remove the sandpaper and spray away the residue with some electrical contact cleaner(Not WD-40 don't ask me how I know).

This will clean up the electrical contact area. The same thing could be done using a Points File(pretty rare now days)

If the battery is good then start looking at fuses as they get corrosion in the clips and the fuses will not conduct.

The many and various connectors probably need cleaning too.
Corrosion on connectors is usually green in color and will not conduct electricity.

All electrical connections need to be clean and tight; the battery terminals, the ground connection to the frame and the heavy gauge wires at the starter solenoid all need attention.

The ignition switch itself may have corrosion internally and be unable to direct the electricity to where it is needed.

A good shop manual is the first thing to get as it will have a wiring diagram to help troubleshooting.
