Thanks Bill,
That info might have saved me some headaches later..
I'll see if I can find something the system can manage.

In the grand scheme of things, an extra 10W isn't much on a 12V system. The chances of having the HI beam on in stop and go traffic is nil since you would have to dim to LOW bean there.

Consider that the standard brake light bulb is 18W (same for the turn signal bulbs) and the running light filaments are about 10W each. I think the tiny dashboard bulbs are 4W each on my bike. Incandescent bulbs suck a lot of juice, 10W more isn't a whole lot.

I returned the Wagner today, and the guy that helped me yesterday wasn't any brighter than the light I was buying.
Today a different guy looked it up and the Wagner Halogen H6024 is rated 60/40W. I thought about keeping it anyway and trying it out. I was hoping at my other stops to find something in a 55/35 or 40 but no such luck as even the Kawi dealer wasn't able to help other than ordering me a $109 headlight with an H4 connector which meant having to convert the KZ to that and no guarantee it would work:(
Found something from Ricepaddy and emailed them for specs.
patience patience patience.....
Can't do much today anyway with all this damn snow..geez:(

I guarantee you will not have any problem replacing a 35/55W bulb with a 40/60W bulb. That is a difference in current of less than 0.4A. The stock alternator can put out at least 20A without even breaking a sweat.

Thanks for the info bill. I'll check those out the next time I'm at Canadian Tire. Although I dont need a headlight at the moment you never know when that will change :)
