I wish I had found this thread yesterday....:blink:

I took the 900 out for its maiden voyage since being pulled from storage and freshened....and the battery was overfilled and spit out some (baseball size drip spot) acid on my brand new Vance and Hines 4-1 :sick:

The bike was warmed up and everything so I am thinking the finish of the pipe is fubarred...anyone have any tips for clean-up except "bet you learned your lesson"??


I feel like such a idiot already...:whistle:

Sorry I can't offer a fix, but I'm curious. Was your battery overflow hose routed between the rear of the engine and the swingarm? Ed
