Sorry did not read all the post but using a finger push each slide one at the time all the way up and should return down smoothly.
If one hangs or sticks no good

But if you try to finger stop your vscuum piston while the engine its running, you will discover that those have nothing to do with idle drop 1983 kz 550 h
