Took some photos of my clutch before i put it back together with new gasket. I gave the friction plates a roughing up with some 800 grit paper and took it out for a ride, made absolutely no difference. Still think it could be clutch though because its difficult to engage second gear whilst at standstill no matter how i adjust it, no problem whilst moving, and read somewhere that the bike should stall out if you try to pull away in a high gear, i put it in fifth and it still pulls away without stalling.
It does feel as though theres no power when you try to pull away in first though, Ive noticed it kind of overrevs a bit before it engages to go.
Anyway these are the pics of the plates, im not sure if they look ok? Dont look that bad to me but i dont have much experience with clutches.

They look fine. Cable or adjuster sticking is the only answer.
