$8 for a refueling bottle for model cars from the local RC hobby shop, add one wide shouldered wood screw and some fuel line.

Very lightly tighten the screw down so that the bottle can be filled. Hook up the tubing from the carbs then take the screw out. The bottle is made of a very soft fuel-proof plastic that holds the screw suprisingly well. Obviously you can't store fuel in the bottle, but this setup worked very well for tuning/troubleshooting the carbs.

(Not shown in the picture)I used either tiewraps or one of the ratcheting squeeze type clamps to secure the filled bottle to the handlebars.

lawn mower gas tank has worked for me over the years, you can also add a shut off to it.
I have even used a old coffee can, had a hose barb in the bottom sealed with silicone, wasnt the best but it worked

K&L offers a @ 1gal bottle, comes w/hanger,cap, fuel line and inline petcock. I attached mine to a old set of office chair castors w/pvc uprite. which also holds my vac.guages. its' handy, mobile and height adjustable. not ot mention saving bike from possible scratches.G

I like these ideas, great stuff. I've been using the bike tank and just extending the hose by joining it together with a filter. I then just lay the tank next to the bike on a small work mate bench.

I was just out in the garage checking my float levels after rebuilding the carbs.

I found a couple of screw holes on the back (engine) side of the carb rack, threaded a couple of 5mm bolts in there and mounted the assembly to my bench vice all nice and level.

I placed my tank on a shelf above the carbs and hooked up the lines. This way I can stand comfortably next to them and have a tub to catch the spillage underneath.

I found the two center carbs float level to be low so, I removed the bowls, tweaked the tangs, put it back together, checked again and...they were perfect! There is NO WAY I can be that lucky! I'll check 'em again tomorrow...;)
