Hardened shaft ends of an aluminum clutch push rod. The oil seal did wear the aluminum rod fast.
Made some spare prarts push rods out of steel.

On one of the forks you probably stacked the short rebound spring in the wrong order. I did it once on my 84' Honda Sabre 700S. It took me a little bit to figure it out.

Will give a try to this. I measured both and the short leg is exactly the length Wookie posted.

Thank you!

As Kelly says, I’d bet you didn’t get the short rebound spring on the damper first, inside the longer fork.

Hello fellow kz lovers. I went into it tonight; only to find that the longer hanging fork has no spring in the hydraulic inside the bottle. The little spring (the really short one) is not there.

im starting to worry about my memory capabilities, but I am 100% sure all parts that came out went in again.

so one fork bar has the lower spring; and the other one doesn’t.

any ideas where can I find such spring? I completely stirred every corner of the garage, but it’s not here.

Could a spring from another bike work?

The smaller one that goes in the bottom.

seems unavailable. I’m thinking it should not be very different from other forks, so perhaps I can try to find a Vulcan fork spring or similar (just the bottom one, and possibly both legs at the same time so there is no difference).

I finally found a complete fork leg from ebay Germany, for 50 euro including shipping, which is the best solution right now.

Got the wheels assembled this weekend, and advanced a bit with the electrics. Wheels look absolutely amazing!

I have no idea how to “arrange” the cables and connectors so they look tidy and not a mess; which they do now. Could someone post a pic of how the cables are arranged? I’ve been searching the forum, but did not find anything.

I also have a couple of grounds I have no idea where to attach… electrics is definitely NOT my thing

 Have a great week!
