Yes, fortunately.
I just looked and the thinnest is measuring 2.60mm (with my $45.00, + or - .0005" inch/metric digital caliper). It's the exhaust valve. I was wrong about the 270 number originally.
But the shim to lobe gap measures about +.006" with a dry feeler gauge.
The fattest shim number is a 280 intake shim and that one is a little tight for me at thin .002". Actually i have a couple that are like that.
The semi-good news is that, not including the shims in this head, or the 8 shims installed in the engine that runs in the bike, I have modest 26 piece pile of extra 29mm shims, from 280 all the way down to 220, but with quite a few duplicates in the thicker dimensions.
I also have a nearly full set "new" OEM Kawasaki branded, intake and exhaust valves for these heads.
(Been messing with the Z1-KZ1000 bikes a fair amount of time. )
Of course, like everyone else who does this stuff at home.... I'll end up finding one new valve bent from some abuse or sitting too long with something laying on it... or I'll be buying some correct shims or springs for some outrageous amount of $$$!! LOL

Sounds like it is is good shape. It might not be so bad. I'd dig into it and find out.
