And that's an impressive looking weld. Mine is the same way, 3/4 of the way around the pins. Truly beautiful workmanship from a top notch guy.

My mate had his crank welded, it is definately a specialist job and it will need balancing afterwards. They do look amazing too, his looked like a solid block of chrome when it came back, what a shame crank cases aren't see through! ;)

I found a local guy who runs a machine/welding shop. He's been around forever and used to rebuild KZ cranks all the time when they were the hottest thing on the strip. He says he can weld and true for me for $125. I think I'm going to do that.
