Will do. Once I talk to the guys, and see what sort of time frame happens on Sunday. Then I'll know about Monday, and a time for coming through JD. It won't be late that I can tell you. I'll shoot for no later than 3 pm. Hopefully earlier.

You are on the road by now, and may not get this, but hopefully you will be thru here earlier than 3 pm Monday - it's about a 5 hour round trip from here to Bend area, so 3 pm will return me here about 8 pm - about dark. I had hoped and planned to ride as far as Prineville, where I would need gas anyway - but if things get too late in the afternoon, might have to start the return earlier than that. Have a great and safe trip - will see you sometime Monday!

Assuming the fates smile upon me, my tires arrive and I get them mounted, and no other mysterious gremlins arise... Then YES! South I shall ride! Might even get the girlfriend to ride along, (not much luck convincing her to drive chase in the van). I'm not sure if I'll take the ferry to Seattle, Port Angeles, or island-hop starting with San Juan.

Sh!t, it just occurred to me that my passport might be expired, do I still need a passport to cross the border? Anyone know offhand?

Hey Killman, you will need a passport as others have stated. I would try to get it done pronto though since it took my wife 3 weeks to get her Canadian passport earlier this summer. Keep in mind she had to send the application to Ottawa from Florida. You may also be able to get an expedited passport or do it at a local branch. Like I said, her circumstances were a bit different. Good luck

Sorry to hear about your mishap. But as long as you are O.K, then that is the best outcome one can hope for.

Made it up and back to where Motor Head was camped and passed along the news. No cell phone service. Sounds like he will be heading back to Bend tomorrow.

Glad you are ok Kaw-a-holic!

Thanks - no big issue, if his travel plans get him to my area later in the day than earlier thought and hoped, it simply means my ride with him might be shorter - not a big deal, more important he rides safe!

Not real sure of the meaning - then Motor Head will NOT be able to get the flag, and weekend plans are cancelled? Would still be neat to meet up with him for a ride on his return if he returns this way, flag or not...

Kaw-a-holic never made it with the flag. I rode up to Motor Heads camp to fill him in on the news. He said he didn't have time to make it all the way to Missoula and sounded like he would be returning tomorrow. He talked about different routes he may take. He talked about meeting up with Gary in the John Day area. All we can do now is wait to see what happens.

Made it home safe. Sent the bike home with dad. She will be up and running for the Rally at 4 Corners.
As for the flag. It has officially been in Idaho on a KZ. I overnight the flag to Motorhead and keep it move. Sorry if that cheats you out of signing it Mike. That was the whole point of taking it that way.
Let me know what you guys would like me to do. Did Motorhead give you a good contact number Mike?

He has his cell phone but absolutely no service where he is at. I'd try him again tomorrow. If I don't sign the flag it won't kill me. I still want pics of the bike! As for a front end.....boise.craigslist.org/mcy/3911642975.html
