You might want to post in the main thread or look at the second and third legs to see which are closest to you. We'd take you on the East Coast leg if you were old Philadelphia instead of New. ;)

You're only 5 hours from that rider! Meet him half way and that's only a 2.5 hour ride!

Ronnie, take a look at the map (g.co/maps/sngx6). The riders in your area are squadrider and riturbo. "u wish u could ride" joined early but hasn't been heard from in a while.

Ronnie, I'm hoping at a minimum you can take the flag up into Maine. It would be great if there were some way to get it to Heyst or T_Dub so they can take it to Newfoundland.

The problem is there's no rider for Maine right now. Jay650 sold his bike and stepped out. To meet Heyst half way you'd each be looking at 6 hours each way (12 hours round trip). If you're up for that, great! If not, we still need to find another rider in between you two.

I can do that no preblem. I guess we need to find the guy who bought Jay 650 bike and get him to do maine. Maybe if we put an ad on craigs list or something we could get another rider in maine. I am sure theres got to be quite a few kzs in maine.

I think an ad on Craigslist is a great idea. Would you go ahead and do that?

I will give it a try. Not sure if I can figure out how to post the link to the main page. I can probably get one of the kids to do it for me.

You may want to check out Leg #2. In the link below, about halfway up/down the page, there's a map. I might be wrong, but it looks like the Leg #2 route passes near you and might be more practical then the East coast leg. Ed

Lots of info floating..and this is GREAT. Not able to ID where the flags are now but I'm interested.

My '83 KZ is in shop and expected to return fairly soon. I see RonnieV seems to have MA wrapped up for the East Coast leg, that's where I am (noted the ME gap). I'm looking for a time frame to ride with, carry on...

I can offer this known time for portage: First three weeks of June, I am riding from central MA to Eureka Springs, AR. Anticipating a week down through Blue Ridge, Tail of the Dragon..then a week around the area and a week back. About 1400 miles each way as AAA mapped for Dad (he rolls the Concours). Could a piece of the trip down or around help get the flags from North East to the 2nd leg?

Great idea! I can make it down to NH area on the 30th of June if it can be there by then. Thats the day that works best for me, but not hard and fast by any means.

Can we get an update on how things are progressing? I live in South Georgia, close to I-75 and would like to participate if I can have my bike ready in time. It sounds like it may be already on it's way past my area...

Flag was just passed to next couple of riders today.
Ocklawaha Hand Off

Flag is scheduled to move next weekend. Where in South Ga are you? That would be awesome if you can take part.

Never mind, I see you are Nashville, GA. That's perfect. How far south can you come?

KZJOE, I sent you a pm with some details. I've got a good bit of work to do before the bike is ready. And I have yet to take it on a ride so it is completely untested.

I hope we can at least get together for a coffee if I can't get my ride on the road in time.

Hi fibestring, as of now I won't be the one making the next hand off. Kawickrice is in possession of the flag and will be making the trip up to Macon. I will join him part way it is feasible for both of us to do so. I responded to your PM.

If some part of this deal goes through or near Morgantown WV, let me know in advance and whoever is doing that leg can come by for a nice steak on the grill. Beer, coffee...whatever suits your taste :)
