I took my front end up to the shop today and put the triple tree on the surface plate to double check that it was bent, turns out that it was. The only way I can think that it happened was when I was pressing the stem back into it. I put it back on the press and got it bent back straight, thank god cuz I really didn't wanna have to buy another one.

As the front end goes I still need to find a wheel,
Order a set of springs and gold valves from racetech,
Get the fork tubes anodized black,
Make my steering stops and
Figure out what I'm gonna do about these busa 6 pot brakes. I really want to use them but I think they will be to much trouble for the benifit. I think I might thro them back on ebay and just try to find a set of non radial gsxr 750 calipers

The front end on!

The busa 6 pot calipers

And just for reference on what I'm dealing with on the mounting points not lining up

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! I was just looking at your build.
I like the color scheme you went with, I'm having a really hard time deciding what I'm gonna do with mine.

I've been extremely bored here at work today, have 25 minute run cycles on the Cnc so I have to find things to kill some time and I already feel like I've gone to the end of the internet and back. So I broke out the ole cut off wheel and 90 degree grinder and made my shock mount gussets, I'm gonna weld them up after I clock out.
I'll post pics up of it here in a few hours

Just got done welding up the gussets. I was originally planning on boxing them in but I think I like them like this.

All that's left for the rear end is to
Powder coat,
Cut off the mono shock which I'll do tomorrow,
And align the sprockets.

Powdercoat and lining up the sprockets will probably be one of the last things I do on the build so the rear end is pretty much done for now

Well it looks like my work is about to be cut out for me...
The whole point of this build is to have a decent track bike come next season.
I have been using my 1000rr but due to recent set backs i cant take it to the track anymore.

So with that being said with the new suspension and being setup for me if I can keep the weight down it should handle pretty well but I was kinda worried about being short on power.
I just got off the phone with my buddy who has a gixxer 600 motor sitting in his shop wrapped in plastic, he said if I want it to come get it, So ima go pick it up tomorrow!

This should be funn!!!
