Got a bracket made for the rear brake master cylinder:










Also got a steering stem made:

that 3-4 mm thick rear brake M/C bracket looks petty bendy to me...

I agree on both items. Fantastic build and the bracket combined with the small screws holding it on worries me as well.

the two M8 bolts holding the pump ar eok, the two M6 (or M5?) holding the bracket to the CNC piece are meant to hold the heel guard, undersized to resist the force applied to the M/C

while i myself would prefer thicker plate and the next size up screw.
this bracket is in shear,
as are the bolts.
i really wouldn't expect any problems in normal use.

As always I get 2 pieces made.
Guess I can add another bracket so the total adds up to 8 mm thick stainelss steel.

I will consider this...you bastards ! :P

Since it's stainless your in better shape then I originally thought. I'm sure you can test the integrity and decide. I'm sure you will feel it bend before it will ever break unless it gets slammed.

I'll play devil's advocate here :evil: ...I think the 4mm SS rear master carrier will be enough because there is not going to be a lot of force applied to it unless you really mash it in an emergency....but we don't do that to a rear brake right? Having said that I also think the bolts should be a bit beefier, and some testing just to make sure!!!

Thanx for your concern guys but I´m pretty confident the bracket will hold up.


It´s made out of grade 316L stainless steel and its good for 430 N/mm2.
We manufacture pressure vessels for autoclaves out of it.
Compare this to aluminum that takes about 80 N/mm2 before deformation.

Here´s a pic from the sellers webpage:
I would say the aluminun will brake off at the weakest point before the bracket will.

OK, didnt realize the bracket was SS, I thought it was AL.... so even before you put the brake fluid, just use a spacer, press on pedal with your foot (not hand!) and see if it bends or not... with the pump stting offset there will be some twisting for sure, but maybe not enough to do damage.

still, even if the original photo shows the small bolts holding the brakcet to the main part something "smells wrong" about the two horizontal placed M5-M6 bolts comapred to the M8 of the M/C.

Waiting for parts so I got the starter engine overhauled..

















Got the original sticker sent to me form Kawasaki in Japan !

No...I´m just kidding but it sure looks a bit more factory... :P
