Looks great! Would you mind revealing your new chrome shop? I'm always looking for somewhere good but reasonably priced. Seems to be getting harder and harder to find with all the EPA stuff.

So just a quickie.....this is very "roughed in" and will need quite a bit of finishing yet. However, can you guess what it is and where it is going? Should be easy.....

Going to see how it looks first before spending anymore time on it.....

Frame bracket for a steering stabilizer if you're making us guess.

EDIT: Fork bracket of some sort since it has 43mm machined into it.

I like the flag holder idea, but it isn't a Harley....

Yep it WAS a fork clamp for a steering damper. I cut it shorter, cut a tear drop from a billet chunk of aluminum, then drilled and tapped the two mounting screws, and the threaded boss for the signal light post. Then I radius out the chunk so it wraps around the fork tube. I wish I had a mill, but right now between filing and my hacksaw, I am going to look like Quagmire from Family guy in the episode when he found out the internet had porn.....

With the Indian tear drop light, I don't have a traditional bracket to carry the signals so we are going to try these out.

NakedFun wrote: So my lazy azz didn't get out of bed in the morning and get up to the shop until like 2pm.... So I didn't get much done today. First mounted up the bars and threaded the cables. Routed my new custom line and made up my brackets for the masters. Tomorrow I am going to make up the cable stays at the master side. Also going to shorten the clip on tubes after I figure out how deep I want them in the clamps. I fitted Low Brow Customs spot mirrors using some bushings I made for the pivots.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am totally digging the alternator set-up. I have been pondering something like this for ten years !!!! here is the stuff n that? There are 45 pages of this thread .... WOW.. so much attention to detail !!

NakedFun wrote: I can send a couple of pics tonight, but I sent you the drawing a while ago? Do you still have it? I have the swing arm centered, but my rear tire may be slightly off center as I remember the ZRX1200 when they went ot the 180 rear tire and 6" rim, offset the wheel assembly in the swing. Won't be able to tell until I get it on a jig. I also need to make a taller kick stand!

Cory

I have same swingarm set up and nearly the same forks. My rear wheel is off center by about .090". The odd part is I did build a jig, and the front and rear are with in .005' of centerline to centerline.

There was a 3-4mm tolerance at the factory for the frame neck centerline to rest of frame. Muzzy when he built the superbikes would saw off the neck and remount it centering it on the rest of the frame. I think unless you want to intentionally misalign the two wheels you may find that it is just going to be off center.

Frustrating.
