WELL! g'morning. Rode Dec 16, Jan 1, Jan 17- yes, cold.

New tires, Dunlop 404s, new front fork springs- new fork seals, new front trip bearing. Went thru THREE sets of front fork seals...new progressives and so far, so good.
slight ticking from top right of engine doesnt seem to get louder or increase in speed with engine speed...coil?

Did some changes. Those round trailer lights had to go.

replaced the rounds with LED's and added a fairly large "third" brake light..bright doesn't cover it- its painfully bright!

Need to replace front turns with LED's.
What doesn't show very well are the reflective strips I added all over the rear, sides and front.
Cant see them very well until light hits thems.

Grocery getter!! with room to spare, 6 full bags of groceries @ 45 MPG...bring the summer, bring it all.

And, out of the clear blue, the guy who I got it from sent a shop manual, AND a large stack of receipts from the guy he bought it from- the original owner!
Valves done in 96, about 2500 miles ago. A note about a "slightly bent exhaust valve", nothing on it getting replaced, all compression seems in range...so, not sure what thats about.
Part of the reason I replaced the near new Metzners (only had 2000 miles on them) was they were NEW..in 2001!!
Found some hillbilly rigging sorting it out, like a wrong nut on the right rear shock, the rear air shocks, well one of them is weeping oil...crap..so, not sure whether to cough up the $$ for replacement airs, or try and figure out what the eyelet to eyelet blahblah and get some std. gas shocks.

yes, its thee reason to get out of the house! Girlfriend is 100 pounds, 5'2"...she fits perfectly on that part behind my fat ass, LOL.
Wanted to get out today, but too high risk of rain. Just waxed it....next week looks the break north Ohio finally gets-
That luggage is amazing. Six freaking bags of groceries! If I screwed around I could get seven in there, but 6 is fairly close to normal run.

Its nice to know Im not the only one whos packed groceries on a bike.

I even use to strap my fire fighting gear to the sissy bar of my Kaw on the way to a house fire. The guys would tease me saying I need a red lite on my helmet. LOL

JEFFG1, wheres the write up on that bike in your avatar?

And back to groceries, I pack a flyrod to hit some spots, AND pack a rifle in a hard case when I go out to check some ground hog spots. NEVER had one bit of head ache about it. Probably didn't see it, black hard case probably looks like some funky CHiP's add-on, lol
