what exactly are back cut gears?

Is it worth it for a hot street bike that will see some track time?

Don't quote me on this, but I think backcut gears are basically a re-angle of the trans gear teeth to allow for quicker more precise shifting, and also to prohibit blowing up the trans by mis-shifting at higher rpms.

smclem, SquatchAirClutch, or one of the other drag race pros here will be able to answer this question better than I did, I'm just going by assumption here. ;)

'94 Toyota X-cab 4x4 - currently dead in the driveway :(

A.T.G.A.T.T. = I'd rather sweat a LOT than bleed a LITTLE! :P

If at first you don't succeed, hide all evidence that you ever tried! :D

If you go with a back cut tranny be sure to install an overshift bushing while you are at it.:cool:
